The Toymaker's Cottage by John Curtis Crawford
Long, long ago, the Fairies began to create toys for their best human friends, the children. But they had a problem. Fairies play all the time, but never use toys, so they were confused. The first results were pretty funny: upside down bicycles, square balls, cars with wheels on the trunk. One day, a young child appeared in their midst. He had wandered into Santa’s Pack while the jolly old elf took a brief nap after his milk and cookies in the little boy’s living room. Our young hero was welcomed by the Fairies and began to play with the mixed up toys - and very politely showed the Fairies how toys really work. The master Fairy toymaker was so grateful, he built this house so the Fairies would always remember the right way to make toys and the little boy who showed them the way.
