First came a Fairy House. Everything else flowed from that. We created a habitat where our Fairy friends could live, close to us. The Fairies moved in and told us their stories. When we took photos of their habitats, the Fairies appeared in them, giving birth to the prints, calendars, and cards.

Every product in the Fairy Store is handmade in our workshop in Oregon, created with materials from nature, and designed to provide a real home to real Fairies.

Fairy Store

Life begins with an open and unlimited imagination. We invite you see with your imagination – and give yourself permission to believe what you see. The world is alive, Fairies are real, and they peek out at us from every Earth place that remembers the wild. Let the Fairies take your imagination by the hand and lead you to the threshold. On the other side, there is magic.

Dimensions: Aprox. 6 in wide, 6 in deep, 10 in high, depending on books chosen.

We've long suspected the Faries have a hidden agenda in wanting to populate the world with Fairy Houses.  Each house acts as a gateway for them to travel between their realm and ours, learn more about us, make friends, and perhaps be able finally to return to our world.  Now we've learned that many of the Fae study the human world and gather information by reading about it.  Clever Fairies – what better way to read than to live inside a book?

When we discoverd this Fairy habitat on a dusty shelf in our library, we knocked on the door.  When we got no answer, we gingerly peeked in the door with a flashlight to find a table and chairs and stairs leading to what must be a second story, but the house appeared deserted. The following day we found a tiny note on the door from the Fairies who built this Book House, letting us know they had read everything on the surrounding shelves and had moved on to build a new house in another section of our library.  They suggested we offer this Book House to human Fairy friends as rental property because Literary/scholar Fairies would be happy to lease the house, especially if it were located amidst intriguing titles.  (Shells, stones, and blessings are reasonable rents to charge.  Asking them to dust is also appropriate.)

If you would like to become a part of the Literary Fairy Exchange Network and sponsor a Literary Fairy Family, incorporate a Book House into your book shelves and listen for the leaves to start turning.

Please note:  Each Book House consists of 3 or 4 books whose insides have been hollowed out by the Fairies and turned into a Fairy habitat.  Houses are partially furnished with table and chairs visible through the front door.  The inside appears to be larger than you would imagine possible given the outside dimensions of the book. Book titles are all different.  We never know which books the Fairies will colonize next, so we can't predict subject matter but we promise it won't be offensive.

Available with built-in LED light, transformer included.

***If you have books which you would like to invite the Fairies to colonize, contact us about shipping them, and we'll see whether the titles entice them to move in.***
