We've created two magical calendars this year, one featuring mystical scenes as in past years, and this one, featuring the houses. They center on the same theme:
The Way of Faerie
If someone says to you, turn ocean wise or walk moon wise, chances are you can follow the directions. But what if someone tells you to walk Faerie Wise? Do you turn left? Hop on one foot? Walk in circles? On your hands?
Any of those ideas might amuse watching Fairies sufficiently to earn you a brief whisk to the Otherworld but chances are, if you’re considering the question, you want to know how to live your life touched by and in tune with Faerie.
What does it mean to walk the world Faerie Wise and how do you learn to do it? How do you live in the Faerie way, think in Faerie mode, see through the prism of Faerie vision?
There’s no “how to” book that can teach you to become Faerie Wise, but the houses in this calendar and the stories that accompany them offer clues hinting at how a Fairy, living in the house, might relate to the surroundings.
Read the stories, put yourself inside the house and look out the window. One day, when the wind whispers “Become Faerie Wise” you’ll know in your heart what it means.
