That's the central theme to the documentary feature movie, Gateways to Faerie produced by John Crawford,  Bridget Wolfe and filmaker Andy Corwin.

Scholars and mystics from nearly every culture on the planet, from earliest times to the present, talk about gateways into other dimensions that fill the universe. In this movie we explore how, through Fairy magic, you can find these same portals. We wander through questions like Who are the Fairies? How can we see them? Where is the magical realm in which they exist? What's the relationship between Fairies and nature? How do we - and they - cross the gateways between our realms? How do Fairy Houses work to help with that process? What's the secret to making Fairy Houses that act as gateways?
Making the movie has been quite a journey for us. Our intent was to create a piece that described how we engage the Faerie World and how that world speaks to us through Gateways, and has led us to create over 1000 Fairy Houses and their stories. It's an intimate view of our process and the enchanted realms that we walk in.
The film is finished and was released in October, 2010. The film is packaged together with a separate Step-By-Step "how to" disc for those who want to create their own Fairy House in the Fairy Woodland mode.
We're proud of what we've accomplished with this film. It was made on a shoestring budget with the help of some amazing professionals who believed in the project enough to contribute their time and talents to make it possible. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped bring this project and the vision it carries into reality.
